Fishermans Paradise eco-walk for school groups

From AUD $14.00
  • Duration: 90 Minutes (approx.)
  • Location: Fishermans Paradise, NSW
  • Product code: FP - schools
Meeting by the boat ramp at Fishermans Paradise, the route for this guided walk includes riverside, bush and village tracks. You'll hear stories of natural environment and surprising local history as we wander with binoculars handy for a closer look at the abundant birdlife. It's likely we'll also see kangaroos and eastern water dragons (and fish jumping in the river). We'll also visit a salt-marsh regeneration project site and a favourite fishing spot with fabulous views over the river to Lake Conjola.

Parts of the tour route were badly burned in the Black Summer fires of 2019/20 and this intriguing eco-tour now also includes stories of that challenging time, and subsequent bush regeneration. The tour commentary and activities are tailored for specific learning outcomes (K-12) including local history, sustainability and environment.

Tours are also available for vacation care groups and can include a visit to the local playground.
